# Crisp

> Connect Crisp to your Atako agents — 7 read and 7 write actions.

Let your agents manage conversations, contacts and operators in your Crisp live-chat workspace.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (Plugin token keypair (identifier:key)).

<Note>
  Crisp Marketplace (marketplace.crisp.chat) → sign in → Plugins → New Plugin (private) → Tokens: copy the Development token pair (identifier and key — every API scope is enabled in development mode) and link your Crisp workspace as a trusted workspace. Paste the pair as identifier:key. Your site id (website\_id) is shown in Crisp → Settings → Website settings; give it to your agents.

  See [Crisp's documentation](https://marketplace.crisp.chat/).
</Note>

## Read actions (7)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `get_conversation` | Get conversation information (state, people\_id, assigned operator, metadata). |
| `get_person` | Get a people profile by its identifier (people\_id). |
| `get_site` | Get website information (name, domain, verification status). |
| `list_conversation_messages` | List messages in a conversation. Returns message objects with type, content, from (user/operator), and timestamp. Paginate using timestamp\_before (Unix ms) to get older messages. |
| `list_conversations` | List conversations for a website (paginated, page\_number starts at 1). Optional filters: per\_page (20-50, default 20), filter\_unresolved (1 or 0), filter\_resolved (1 or 0), filter\_assigned (user\_id string), filter\_unassigned (1 or 0), filter\_inbox\_id (inbox id or "all"), search\_query (text search), search\_type ("text", "segment" or "filter"). |
| `list_operators` | List all operators (team members) in the website. |
| `list_people` | List people profiles for a website (paginated, page\_number starts at 1). Optional search\_text filters by name or email. |

## Write actions (7)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `add_private_note` | Add a private note to a conversation (a message of type "note": visible to operators only, never to the visitor). Arguments: website\_id (string), session\_id (string), content (string). |
| `assign_conversation` | Assign a conversation to an operator. Set operator\_id to the operator user\_id, or empty string to unassign. |
| `create_conversation` | Create a new conversation. The conversation becomes visible in the Crisp inbox only after a message is sent with a "user" from value. Returns the session\_id. |
| `create_person` | Create a people profile. Arguments: website\_id (string), email (string, required), nickname (string, optional display name), phone (string, optional). The request wraps them as \{ email, person: \{ nickname, phone } } as the Crisp API expects. |
| `send_message` | Send a text message to the visitor in a conversation, as an operator. Arguments: website\_id (string), session\_id (string), content (string, plain text). The request always uses type "text", from "operator", origin "chat". |
| `update_conversation_state` | Change the state of a conversation. state must be one of: "pending", "unresolved", "resolved". |
| `update_person` | Update a people profile. Arguments: website\_id (string), people\_id (string), then any of email (string), nickname (string), phone (string). Only provided fields are sent, wrapped as \{ email, person: \{ nickname, phone } }. |

## Permissions

Every action above must be explicitly granted to an agent before it can be used. See [Permissions](/integrations/permissions) for the grant model and [Security](/integrations/security) for how credentials are protected.
