# Jira

> Connect Jira to your Atako agents — 24 read and 15 write actions.

Let your agents work in Jira — search with JQL, create and update issues, comment, log work, and transition issues through your workflows.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (email:api\_token).
* **Required settings**:
  * **Site name** — yourcompany in yourcompany.atlassian.net

<Note>
  Go to id.atlassian.com → Security → API tokens ([https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens](https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens)) → Create API token → name it and copy it. The token inherits your Jira permissions — an account with browse/create/edit rights on the target projects is enough. Enter the credential as [your-email@company.com](mailto:your-email@company.com):the\_api\_token (email and token joined by a colon).

  See [Jira's documentation](https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens).
