# Lokalise

> Connect Lokalise to your Atako agents — 10 read and 3 write actions.

Let your agents browse Lokalise projects, languages, keys, translations, tasks and contributors, create keys with their translations, update translations and comment on keys via the Lokalise API.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (API token).

<Note>
  Open Lokalise, click your team avatar in the bottom left corner → Profile settings → API tokens → Generate new token. Choose "read-only" (reading only) or "read/write" (needed to create keys, update translations and add comments), then copy the token. The token only reaches the projects where your Lokalise user has the admin role.

  See [Lokalise's documentation](https://docs.lokalise.com/en/articles/1929556-api-tokens).
</Note>

## Write actions (3)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `create_key` | Create one key with its translations. Args: project\_id (string); key\_name (string — for a project with per-platform key names, a JSON-encoded string with ios/android/web/other attributes); platforms (array of strings among "ios", "android", "web", "other" — not a comma-separated string); optional description (string), tags (array of strings), filenames (object with optional ios/android/web/other strings), context (string), char\_limit (integer), is\_plural (boolean), plural\_name (string), is\_hidden (boolean), use\_automations (boolean), translations (array of objects \{ language\_iso: string such as "en", translation: string — or, for a plural key, an object of plural forms such as \{ "one": "…", "other": "…" }, is\_reviewed?: boolean, is\_unverified?: boolean }). |
| `create_key_comments` | Add comments to one key. Args: project\_id (string); key\_id (integer — from list\_keys); comments (array of objects \{ comment: string }, at least one — not an array of strings). |
| `update_translation` | Update one translation. Args: project\_id (string); translation\_id (integer — from list\_translations, or from get\_key / list\_keys with include\_translations: 1; not the key\_id); translation (string, the full new text — for a plural key, the plural forms object \{"one": "…", "other": "…"} serialized as a JSON string, as get\_translation returns it); optional is\_reviewed (boolean, sets or clears the Reviewed flag), is\_unverified (boolean, sets or clears the Unverified flag), custom\_translation\_status\_ids (array of strings, replaces the existing statuses). |

## Permissions

Every action above must be explicitly granted to an agent before it can be used. See [Permissions](/integrations/permissions) for the grant model and [Security](/integrations/security) for how credentials are protected.
