# Slack

> Connect Slack to your Atako agents — 22 read and 18 write actions.

Let your agents work in your Slack workspace — post, update and schedule messages, react, manage channels, and read conversations, users and files.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (Bot User OAuth Token).

<Note>
  Create an app at api.slack.com/apps → OAuth & Permissions. Add the bot scopes you need — at minimum "chat:write" and "channels:read"; for the full action set also "channels:history", "channels:manage", "reactions:read", "reactions:write", "users:read", "users:read.email", "pins:read", "pins:write", "usergroups:read", "files:read", "emoji:read", "dnd:read" and "team:read". Install the app to your workspace, then copy the Bot User OAuth Token (starts with xoxb-).

  See [Slack's documentation](https://api.slack.com/concepts/token-types#bot).
</Note>
