Click the gear among the corner buttons, at the bottom left of any storey, or press ,. Settings open as a sheet over the screen you’re on. You can also link to a section directly with /floor?settings=<section>, e.g. /floor?settings=apiKeys. The sheet has two groups. Personal settings are available to everyone. Company settings are admin-only and hidden from members.

Personal settings

Language and time zone

Under Appearance:
  • Interface language — 13 languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean). Content written by your agents keeps its own language.
  • Time zone — used to display dates and times. Scheduled tasks and the audit log are reported in this zone. Agents you create also take this time zone — see Creating and managing agents.
  • Replay the guided tours — click Reset to see the welcome tour again, then each storey’s tour on your next visit.

Company settings

API keys

Open Settings → API keys (admin-only) to create credentials for programmatic access to the Atako API — from scripts, MCP clients, or CI, without going through the browser. Keys belong to the company: every admin sees and can revoke every key, whoever created it.
1

Create a key

Click Create a key and give it a name that says what it’s for, e.g. “Production · backend”.
2

Pick a scope and an expiry

Scope: Read refuses any request other than GET; Read & write allows everything you can do, except billing and key management. Expiry: 30, 90, or 365 days, or never.
3

Copy it immediately

The full key is shown only once. Copy it and store it somewhere safe.
4

Use it

Pass the key in the Authorization: Bearer <key> header on requests to the Atako API.
5

Revoke when no longer needed

Revoking a key takes effect immediately and can’t be undone. The key stays listed as Revoked; you can then Remove it from the list for good.

BYOK — bring your own key

If enabled for your company, Settings → BYOK lets admins declare your own LLM provider keys (OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic) and use them to run agents instead of Atako’s included inference.
1

Add a key

Click Add a key, choose a provider, give the key a label, and paste the secret. It’s encrypted on arrival and never shown again.
2

Assign it to agents

Pick the key as the inference source when creating an agent, or later in the agent’s settings.
3

Manage it over time

Test a key at any time, set an optional monthly cap, make one key the default, or disable a key without deleting it.
A BYOK key can’t be deleted while agents are still running on it — move those agents to another inference source first.
Agents running on a BYOK key never draw from your company’s credit balance — see Credits.
