Let your agents work with your BambooHR account — look up employees, manage time off requests, run reports and browse company files.

Connection

Authentication: API key.
Required settings:
- Company domain — yourcompany in yourcompany.bamboohr.com

Log in to BambooHR → click your profile photo (top right) → API Keys → Add New Key → give it a name and copy the generated key. The key inherits the permissions of your BambooHR user, so use an account that can see the employees, time off and reports the agent needs.See BambooHR’s documentation.

`get_changed_employees`	List employee IDs inserted, updated or deleted since a given timestamp.
`get_company_report`	Fetch a saved company report by its ID as JSON.
`get_employee`	Fetch one employee by ID with the requested fields.
`get_employee_directory`	Fetch the shared company employee directory (name, job title, contact info).
`get_time_off_balance`	Estimate an employee’s time off balances as of a future date.
`get_time_off_request`	Fetch a single time off request by ID (within the given date window).
`get_whos_out`	List who is out of office (approved time off and holidays) in a date range.
`list_company_files`	List company files and their categories.
`list_employee_files`	List an employee’s files and their categories.
`list_employees`	List employees with optional sorting, extra fields and page size.
`list_time_off_requests`	List time off requests overlapping a date range, with optional filters.
`list_time_off_types`	List the time off types configured in the account.
`list_users`	List BambooHR user accounts and their status.
`run_custom_report`	Run an ad-hoc custom report to fetch chosen fields across employees.

`update_employee`	Update fields on an existing employee record.
`update_time_off_request_status`	Approve, deny or cancel an existing time off request.
