Let your agents read and post in Google Chat on your behalf — list spaces and direct messages, read and send messages, reply in threads, react, create spaces and add members. Requires a Google Workspace account.

Connection

  • Authentication: OAuth 2.0 — you authorize Atako via Google Chat’s consent screen; no key to copy.
  • Scopes requested:
    • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/chat.messages
    • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/chat.memberships
Nothing to paste: click Connect and sign in with your Google account. Prerequisites on the Atako side — Google Chat reuses the same Google OAuth app as the other Google connectors: an administrator sets INTEGRATION_OAUTH_GOOGLE_CHAT_CLIENT_ID / _CLIENT_SECRET and enables the Google Chat API in the Google Cloud console. Google Chat requires a Google Workspace account — a personal gmail.com account is not supported — and a Chat app configured in the console (Google Chat API → Configuration) if the app must post under its own name; with the user scopes requested here (chat.spaces, chat.messages, chat.memberships) the agent acts on behalf of the connected user.See Google Chat’s documentation.
