Let your agents send, edit, pin and delete messages, photos, documents and polls from your Telegram bot, and read the chats it is a member of.

Connection

Authentication: API key (Bot token).

In Telegram, open @BotFather → /newbot (or /token for an existing bot) and copy the token (123456789:ABC-…). Use a bot dedicated to your agents: reading updates here consumes them. The bot can only write in chats it belongs to. To get a chat id, write to the bot (or add it to the group), then call get_updates; a public channel can also be addressed as @username.See Telegram’s documentation.

Action	Description
`get_chat`	Get up-to-date information about a chat (title, type, description, pinned message…).
`get_chat_administrators`	List the administrators of a chat (other bots only with return_bots).
`get_chat_member`	Get a member of a chat and their status (only guaranteed for other users when the bot is an admin).
`get_chat_member_count`	Get the number of members in a chat.
`get_me`	Get the bot’s own profile (id, username, name) — also checks that the token works.
`get_updates`	Fetch incoming updates (messages, channel posts…) received by the bot. Passing offset = last update_id + 1 confirms earlier updates, which are then dropped. Fails (409) if a webhook is set.

`delete_message`	Delete a message — only possible within 48 hours of it being sent (bot’s own messages, or any when admin).
`edit_message_text`	Replace the text of a message previously sent by the bot.
`forward_message`	Forward a message from one chat to another.
`pin_chat_message`	Pin a message in a chat (in groups/channels the bot needs the pin/edit admin right).
`send_chat_action`	Show a status such as “typing…” in a chat for up to 5 seconds (not supported in channels).
`send_document`	Send a file by https URL or Telegram file_id, with an optional caption.
`send_message`	Send a text message (1-4096 characters) to a chat, optionally as a reply.
`send_photo`	Send a photo by https URL or Telegram file_id (max 10 MB), with an optional caption.
`send_poll`	Send a poll (1-12 options) or a quiz (correct_option_ids required).
`set_message_reaction`	Set the bot’s emoji reaction on a message (at most one; an empty list removes it).
